The Executive Council of the Government of the Generalitat approved on May 4th the approach of the Territorial Sectorial Plan for the planning and implementation of renewable energies in Catalonia, great news for Iplan to continue collaborating in sustainable projects and promote these alternative energies.

This plan has to constitute the criteria for the installation of renewable energies in Catalonia, and has to make possible the fulfilment of the necessary objectives in this area to achieve climate neutrality and make effective the energy transition of Catalonia towards a decarbonised model in 2050.

The Government has required its elaboration to the Department of Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda through the Catalan Energy Institute (ICAEN), which will have to take into account all the areas that may be affected by the Plan (energy, environmental, cultural, landscape and social aspects, among others).
